Reupholstering a Wood-Framed Chair

This hands-on class covers the complete reupholstery process for a traditional wood-framed chair using modern cushioning materials. With a strong focus on foundation work. Students will learn the purpose and use of key materials, including webbing, coil springs, and padding, with detailed instruction on spring tying, seat building, and fabric application. Emphasis is placed on understanding why each step matters to ensure comfort, durability, and a professional finish. Students will learn together in a course style format. This is the class I wish I had when I was starting out. Students will build confidence in their skills and leave empowered and to tackle future upholstery projects.

Chair and all foundation materials provided. Chair styles vary and will be chosen first come first serve. Bring 1 yard of your own fabric or choose from available remnants.
