Home Tour

Welcome!  Our quirky home started out as a small log cabin. Through the years it was added onto then added onto again and then the whole thing was covered with one fabulous blue roof.   It is definitely one of a kind.  The perfect place for a DIY fanatic like me.

First up on the tour is the Kitchen and our DIY Kitchen Island made from an old door.

I finally finished the kitchen makeover.  To see the full post click here. I also replaced the standard cabinet above the sink with a DIY plate rack cabinet.

The archway to the kitchen was the first DIY project I ever did in our home.  It was pre-blog so there are no before or during photos.

Across from the Kitchen is small eating area with a DIY Banquette built out of a door.

Next up is one of my favorite DIYs.  The Ship's Ladder (stairs) that lead to the original log cabin part of the house.  The dutch door is also a DIY as well as the built in cabinets to the right.

Here's the little spot on the other side of the room where I blog.

Which leads you to the Living Room and my DIY Faux fireplace mantle.  That mirror is another DIY and actually hides a window

The outside of our house has also seen a transformation over the last couple of years.  We removed a shed attached to the garage and I built a garage trellis to boost our curb appeal.   Then came the rockery and landscaping.

Just up the hill from the garage my husband built me this adorable potting shed with salvaged materials.   I added the Garden Trellis and gate.

Thanks for taking the tour.  I will be adding as I go so stop by anytime to see what's new.
