Extreme Distressing

 

A few pieces I have done lately could be described as extremely distressed.  Which I am loving right now. When I started this furniture business I heavily distressed everything.  Then I went through a cleaner painting phase and now I'm feeling the distressed look again.

 

 

 

My inspiration for this piece came from my old coffee table that I had just finished giving a makeover.  

My table had been painted green and when I stripped it bits of green were left.  Loved it.  The bare wood has such cool variations in it all I had to do was seal it.   The desk however wasn't painted it only had a clear yellowed finish on it.  So I thought hey I will just strip the finish off, slap some paint on and sand it back.  ;)

I love how it turned out.  The charcoal feet and pull for the drop front are my favorite part.
