My plan is to eventually paint the cabinets and replace the counter tops. In the meantime to give the kitchen a little more character I recently replaced the standard cabinet above the sink with a DIY plate rack cabinet.
The archway to the kitchen was the first DIY project I ever did in our home. It was pre-blog so there are no before or during photos.
Across from the Kitchen is small eating area with a DIY Banquette built out of a door.
Next up is one of my favorite DIYs. The Ship's Ladder (stairs) that lead to the original log cabin part of the house. The dutch door is also a DIY as well as the built in cabinets to the right.
Here's the little spot on the other side of the room where I blog.
Which leads you to the Living Room and my DIY Faux fireplace mantle. That mirror is another DIY and actually hides a window.
The outside of our house has also seen a transformation over the last couple of years. We removed a shed attached to the garage and I built a garage trellis to boost our curb appeal. Then came the rockery and landscaping.
Thanks for taking the tour. I will be adding as I go so stop by anytime to see what's new.
