Winter is Coming and a Home Tour

So my husband and I have just discovered Game of Thrones this summer and have been watching it together.  (dont judge unless you love it too then we can be best friends)  He is not usually into the same TV shows as I am so it's nice when we find something we both like that he doesn't fall asleep halfway through.  Although I admit it's sometimes nice when he falls asleep because then I can watch my chick flicks in peace.   Anyways one of our favorite lines from Season One is "Winter is Coming" and lately we have been interupting each other with it quite a bit. When I say things like man it's getting cold outside he says all serious "Winter is Coming" or when he say's it's dark out already I say "Winter is Coming".  It's our new thing.  As I sit here typing up this post it is pooring down rain and hail and there is thunder and lightning like crazy outside.  It's almost dark so of course you know that line popped into my head.

The change in seasons makes me want to get organized.  I don't have any projects to share this week because I decided to tear apart the last part of the garage that I haven't taken over to make it a studio space.  I want it to be a calm, pretty place I can paint and do upholstery in.  Only.  No saw dust or wood scraps. Just pieces being finished.  So far I have insulated it, created an artsy plank wall and painted half of it.  For the last million years it has been the storage area for all things random. Lots of half empty boxes full of spiders.  As soon as I can get hubby to get the broken 1990's jet ski and old boat motor out of there I will be able to finish up the insulating then do some drywall.  Not just a cleaning and organizing project it's the full deal.

Since I don't have any before and afters to share I decided to work on a Home Tour page for the blog.  I share so many of the pieces I sell on the blog it will be nice to have a place for readers to see just my home.

To see the HOME TOUR click here or use the tab at the top of the page.

So what are you watching on TV these days?
