Well it seems my obsession with doors continues. I have had this door for almost a year and finally got around to doing something with it.
I started with a door that was missing the middle panel. (I forgot to take the before photo until after adding the crown) With a little crown, bead board and a shelf I think she cleaned up really nice. Perfect for a small entryway.
The Oil Rubbed Bronze hooks are from Lowes.
The decorative half "legs" were found at a salvage store awhile back. They worked perfect for this project.
Now for the more part.
The other day I was chatting with my friend Katie of Creatively Living Outside the Box and she mentioned she was working on a door project as well. We thought it would be fun to share our projects together. If you haven't discovered Katie's blog yet you are in for a treat. Her blog is all about home renovations, decorating and her love for turning what most would see as trash into a treasure. She is crazy creative and can turn anything into beautiful decor for her home.
Here's what Katie came up with.
She also started with a single panel style door.
Hop on over and check out Katie's blog and tell her I said Hi!

Want even more door projects?
Oh and this one Trumeau Mirror or Whatever You Wanna Call it I didn't use a door I used plywood but you could use an old door just as easily.

Great job Mimi! I love the way this one turned out!
ReplyDeleteOhhh I really like that hall tree. Sometimes they are too big for me but that one has such a lovely simplistic feel to it. Nice, really nice.
ReplyDeleteVery nice!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful hall tree-you did a fantastic job with it.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week.
Your door makeover is amazing. I love the color you picked out too. Katie had a great idea with the calkboard. Both of these ideas are going on my list for when and if I ever come across a lonely door.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this project Mimi! sooo cute. I love old doors. I picked up one from my daughter jamie over the weekend, but not as sweet as your door. super job girl!
