New Logo & a Giveaway

Good morning friends! Check out my new logo.  Isn’t it cool?

When I decided to turn my passion into a business I wanted a new logo for my blog.  Something I could use to make custom price tags and business cards.   I wanted a brand.  Being the control freak that I am about anything related to design it didn’t even occur to me to hire someone at first.  I’m creative right, I can do it?  Well the problem for me was I was stuck, I just kept putting it off, I needed help.  Then I found Molly through her blog Mixed Molly Designs.  

 Here’s a little bit about her in her own words:

 “I have been a graphic designer for over 10 years and I specialize in graphic design and branding for small business and artist's.  I do logos, business cards, websites, blogs, printed marketing material, catalogs, product and business photography, etc.   I also design custom invitations, announcements, and greeting cards for personal and business use.  If you can think it, I can design it!”

I love the fact that she blogs too, she gets what it’s all about.  She has made this whole process so easy and fun!  We started by talking on the phone and she asked me what my goals and vision for my blog were.   I explained that what I was looking for was just a simple graphic logo because the control freak in me still wants to design my own headers and blog buttons.   (but it’s nice to know that later if I get stuck she can help me with that stuff too.)  From that conversation she came up with a few different looks.   Then I picked the one I liked best and we tweaked it until it was just how I wanted it.  I had full input the whole time.   It was so great to tell someone what I wanted and have them present it back to me better than what I imagined! 

When I saw how she designed my business cards.   Love!  I could not have come up with that myself.  

Now I can watermark my photos with my logo too!  

When I told her I had no idea how to watermark my photos with my new logo she even recommended a free program for me and explained step by step how to use it.  Talk about going above and beyond.
